Name |
Aimee Major Steinberger |

Cosplay Name |
Aimee |
|
Cosplaying since |
Anime Expo 2000 was my first real cosplay
experience.
I'd done other costumes for non-anime conventions and also
Halloween, but AX 2000 I would say was the start of me really
getting hooked on cosplay specifically. |

1. Marie Antionette (Rose of Versailles)
Lady Hoshi and I saw this costume in person at Fanime Con 2005. Your
skit was wonderful and so entertaining. I'm so impressed with the
velvet material you chose, it's a perfect choice for the dress. The
amount of work that went into this dress was well worth it. Everyone
who sees it is impressed and encouraged by it. After seeing you (as
well as many other Takarazuka cosplayers) I really want to make a
dress like this myself one day. Your beautiful work is impressive
and very much loved by many members of the cosplay community. You
are an inspiration.
2. Esther (Trinity Blood)
I will admit that I have never seen this series but you're one of
those cosplayers that makes me want to check out the series. Your
accessories are fabulous. It's so cool that you can make your own
pieces like that. I really like this photo of you in costume too.
You always have such lovely photos of all your costumes. |

Favorite costumes:
1. Tenjou Utena (Shoujo Kakumei Utena) I love your manga version of Utena! Everything about the costume is so wonderful. The hair is so perfect for the manga style Utena. You even have the sword and it looks perfect as well. Utena has always been one of my favorite series so I really enjoy cosplayers who do such a lovely job on a costume. You're a great Utena.
2. Shiva (Final Fantasy) I'm just blown away by this. *_* The wig is fantastic. You look like you stepped right out of the Final Fantasy world. The colors are very lovely and it just enhances the beauty of the costume. |

Aimee is not just a cosplayer, she is also in the process of writing a book. It will be about Japan which is a topic many cosplayers are surely interested in. When asked about the book, Aimee had this to say... ---------------- "It's going to be
part informative, part comics! So you'll learn about things in
Japan, both pop culture and traditional, but also there are many
funny comics about things that happen when you put a 6 foot tall "I'm still working on the book, so the title is not set yet. But it will probably be coming out in the last quarter of this year. It will be published by Go! Comi (the same publisher as Cantarella and Her Majesty's Dog Manga) If people watch my website, or Go! Comi's they'll see updates about the book as soon as they are available! I need all the support I can get!" ----------------
I know I'm excited about the book coming out so let's all support Aimee as she works on this book. I'm sure it will be worth the wait. ^_^ |
