Favorite costumes

Laura is just such an amazing and beautiful cosplayer. Not only is she a cosplayer, she is also a very talented photographer and that talent brings out the very best in her own costumes as well as others who have photo shoots with her. Lady Hoshi and I met her at NDK 2005 and saw her again in 2006. She is a sweet and lovely person that we hope to get to know better in the future.

Favorite costumes:

1. Princess Neptune - Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon (Made by Meg)

I find this dress simply enchanting. She is by far the best Neptune cosplayer in my opinion. She makes this gorgeous dress look absolutely breathtaking.

The color of the dress and wig and the attention to accessories as well as how she presents it in photos is perfect.

Seeing this costume for the first time, I thought about how I'd love to be able to portray a character as beautifully as she does.

2. Marie Antoinette - Takarazuka: Rose of Versailles (Made by Laura and Meg)

What can I possibly say about this costume? I'm speechless even now when I see it. The amount of time it took to complete was one year and it shows. It's amazing the amount of detail that went into this.

When I see this I think about how much I wish to make a Takarazuka costume one day and it's very inspiring. I hope to see it in person one day. I'm sure I'd be even more blown away.

1. Himemiya Anthy - Shoujo Kakumei Utena

I had never seen anyone do this costume before. She looks like she stepped right out of the art book. I love that she chose to wear Anthy's hair down, it looks lovely on her. Purple really looks great on her.

2. Sumire - Miyuki-chan in Wonderland (Made by Laura and Meg)

Another costume I had never seen done until now, she makes the character come to life flawlessly. I really love how she took her own take on the hairstyle; the color of the wig and styling is beautiful. I also love how she added little accents here and there to make it her own.
