Week Assignment
Aug. 25 Download and read Chapter One from the Reference tab in Oncourse. Start thinking about problems 7 through 17, 19 through 24, 26, 28, 29, 34 (we will talk about these in class; some will be turned in).
Aug. 31 Bring answers to the above problems to class for discussion. Be prepared to share. The Bottleneck article (problem 7) is on the resource page in Oncourse.
Sept. 7  Monday is a holiday. Wed. we will finish Chapter One. Start reading Chapter Two.
Sept. 14 Problems in Chapter two: 2, 3c, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, see if you can do 13, 14, 15, 20, 22, 23, try 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 38, 40. Turn in 10 of these.
Sept. 21  We will finish Chapter 2 and maybe start Chapter 3 (don't panic!). Choose 8 of the following to turn in: 3, 9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 21, 23, 25, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42.
Sept. 28  Turn in Chapter 3 next Wed. We will start talking about chapter 4.
Oct. 6  Choose 10 of the following in Chapter 4 to turn in: 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 13, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 30, 32, 33, 35, 38, 40 (try to work a little on these so we can talk about them on Wed.)
Oct. 12  We will try to finish Chapter Four.
Oct 19  Turn in Chapter Four problems, read Chapter 5. Choose any 10 problems out of chapter 5.
Oct. 26  We will probably finish Chapter 5 and start Chapter 6. Choose any 5 problems out of chapter 6. Turn in Chapter 5 on Nov. 2
Nov. 2 Turn in Chapter 6 on the 9th. We are working through chapter 7. Do 8 questions from chapter 7, turn in on Nov. 18.
Nov. 9  Finish Chapter 7.
Nov. 16  Chapter 8. Do 5 questions on chapter 8. Turn in Dec. 2. Turn in statement about what you will be doing for your project.
Nov. 23  No class.
Nov. 30  On Wed. each person will talk for 5 min. on their final project. It is the job of everyone else to help them out!
Dec. 10 Take Home Final due at 5:00. If you send it by email be sure I receive it by 5:00 and that you get a response from me saying I have it.
