Introduction:

Most software is already installed, all that remains is to copy the course textbook projects to your personal disk area.

• Copy course projects.
  1. Click download textbook projects. (Note: Project files can also be found at U:\C201-Granda\BlueJ Data Files)
  2. Click the button for C201Projects.exe.
  3. Unzip to folder:
     • J:\C201\Projects
• Open BlueJ
  • Right-click Start | Programs | BlueJ
  • Click the icon.
  • Click Advanced.
  • Click Search drives for Java versions...
  • Highlight the Java path found in the upper window pane..
  • Click Launch BlueJ.
• Open a project
  1. Click Project | Open Project
  2. Type File Name:
     • J:\C201\Projects\chapter01
  3. Click on:
     • chapter01 | shapes

You should now see the following indicating that shapes project has been opened:

Download and install the following:

1. Java J2SE version 1.4.0 or later.
2. BlueJ
3. To open textbook projects, follow the instructions for using at IUS above.
