Inserting and changing

Go to the Drawing Toolbar. If you do not see it on the bottom of the screen then go to view toolbars and check the selection marked drawing. If a check is next to the selection you should see the bar when it is needed.

The Drawing Toolbar looks like this

When the word art is produce when it is selected this box will appear and will disappear when is not selected. It is selected when you see the handles.

Try some of the commands above and see what happens.

Also object produced from the drawing tool bar can also have the shadow and 3-D effect applied.
