To create the title in the first column use a column break. Place insertion point where you want the break to start.

This screen will appear.

Choose:

v      Page break if you want it on a new page

v      Column break if you want to start in a new comlum.

Here is an example of a column break.

Now if you move the picture and title down in the first colum, the other columns stay in place.

Formatting the first Column

Highlight the first column and hit the center key on the formatting toolbar.

Now highlight your name and type in your first and last name.   The reason for highlighting first and then typing is to keep the same formatting as before.   Now do the same to “Your School” and type in your school’s name.

Now you can change the font’s color, style, and size.   The pictures can be resized.

Also put the insertion point in front of the title and press enter until the column is balanced.

Notice only the first column move the column break keeps everything else from moving.

Formatting Graphics

To format or change the way a graphic looks click on the graphic and the picture toolbar should appear.

If it does not go to View, Toolbars and make sure Picture is checked.

Click on pictue of little dog and these selection will appear.  I choose either square or tight to make the text wrap around the graphic

Notice the graphic now has little circles.  You can move it anywhere or change its size and the text will wrap around it.   This is a good way to fill in any white space let on a phamplet, so it has the look of being complete and coveing the whole page.

Format graphic of graphic so the word will wrap around it and place it between the second and third columns.

Square – the text wraps around graphic in a square  or a box

Tight – The text  wraps around the graphic weaving around the graphic.

The little green circle will rotate your graphic.
