In this project you will use the following ISTE standards:
:
ISTE standard V for students is Technology
Research Tools. In this
standard students learn how to access large amount of information apply the
knowledge they have obtained.
:
ISTE standards for teachers II. Planning and Designing
Learning Environments and Experiences and III. Teaching, Learning and The
Curriculum
After looking at the suggestions offered to you in this class I want you to design an Internet Scavenger Hunt to be used in your class. Remember the purpose of this class is not only to introduce you more technology, but also how to integrate that technology into your classroom.
By now you have seen several Scavenger Hunts. Consider the lessons you have taught in your classroom. Choose one and create a Scavenger Hurt for that topic.

Your Scavenger Hunt must be created in Word and include the following: |

Ten question |
|
Must have at least 10 questions. ( I realize this may be too many questions for some lower primary grades, but you want a varsity of questions and may only use some of these questions after you have used it with your class.)
Some of these ten questions need to reach a higher level of learning than just cognitive. At least 2 of these questions must reach higher levels of learning; these questions may not need links, but may use the knowledge found in the other questions. Please read the section “Philosophical inspiration and major topics are from the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS) and Bloom’s Taxonomy” in your syllabus.
You may include the links to students will use to find these answer, or you may create a scavenger hunt where the students must find links that answer the questions. Regardless of which one you choose I must see a links on both that answers the questions you ask. The links may be with the questions as see in examples in class or may be listed at the bottom of the page. Question that apply, analysis, evaluate, etc. may not need links if they use knowledge used in previous questions were links were provided.
Important Note:
When completed, I need your permission to post these projects
on my IUS page, so you can share your hunts with others. Remember anytime you use someone else’s
intellectual materials you should ask permission and/or give credit by posting
name and any URLS. (ISTE Standard for
Teachers – V. Social,
Ethical, Legal, and Human Issues.)
