1.      How to start a New Slide Show

Click on start-programs-PowerPoint- Click on selection.

2.      Layout - Title Slide

Title slide is usually the first slide

3.   Place holders – Add Text

 

Click once to select and type

Go to –drawing toolbar – click on text box.

5.      Change Backgrounds

q       Plain color

q       Fill effect

q       Textures

q       Pattern

 Go to format – Background and do the following types of background

6.      Change Fonts

·        Font

·        Size

·        Color

Click once to select text box and once to select on once to move insertion point

7.      Add Auto Shapes

Go to drawing tool board and click on AutoShape button.  Select object.  When you return to the slide your mouse pointer will become a crosshair.

 

8.      Change order of Layout

Click on object to select and then go to drawing tool bar – draw box and look at commands

9.      Edit Auto Shapes

 

 

Right mouse click on object and check out selections

 

10.   Add shadow and 3D effect

Go to these two icons on drawing toolbars.

11.     Add Clip art

Go to insert – picture – clipart or go to this icon on the drawing toolbar.

12.  Add Word Art

Go to insert picture – Wordart or go to this icon on the drawing toolbar.

Formatting Toolbar

13.  Animation

Click on design button on formatting toolbar and choose animation This animates the text on the slide.

Click on new slide on Formatting Toolbar

Choose new slide layout from list

Go to view – toolbars – all tool bars are listed here

15.  Add pictures for other location

Go to insert – pictures from file.

Lower left hand corner shows some of the views.

Click and hold on slide.  Move until you see a line where you want the slide.
