This is a mouse pointer and an Icon. It is the select tool. In both instances you select objects with this tool |

This is a mouse pointer – I-beam. It allows you to work with text. |

This is a mouse pointer. When your mouse takes this shape you can move the object. |

This is a crosshair. Your mouse becomes a crosshair when you have selected something to draw like AutoShapes. |

Your mouse becomes these shapes over handles. This means you can resize (make the object bigger or smaller). |

An insertion point appears when you can type text from your keyboard. The insertion point appears in text boxes |

Located on the Standard Toolbar. This icon is a Format Painter. Put your insertion point in one text and click this button. You mouse becomes this shape and by clicking and running it over other text that text will format to look exactly like the text where you insertion point is located. |

On the Drawing toolbar, when an object is selected this will fill in color. The drop box next to the paint can offers you many different selections like fill effects. |

On the Drawing toolbar, this is the Line color tool. When an object is selected this will change the color of the line around the object. Drop box next to this icon offers many different options. |

On the Drawing Toolbar, this Icon changes the color of font that is selected. Drop box next to this icon offers many different colors. |

These two icons deal with the line styles. The first one changes size and type and the second changes the line to dashes. |
