| NCSEE was first envisioned as an opportunity to enable sex equity specialists from across the country to come together regularly to engage in a renewal of energy, and share training strategies that members have developed. Following a planning meeting in 1979, the first NCSEE conference was held in 1980, in Santa Cruz, CA. Subsequent conferences have been held each year. | |

| To provide leadership in the identification and infusion of sex equity in all educational programs and processes and within parallel equity concerns, including, but not limited to age, disability, national origin, race, religion, and sexual orientation. | |

| No person shall be excluded from any program, committee, or activity of the National Coalition for Sex Equity in Education (NCSEE) on the basis of age, disability, gender, national origin, race, religion, or sexual orientation. | |
