Dear Supervising Teacher,

IUS appreciates your willingness to serve as a supervisor for one of our candidates in the special education program.  Your experience and guidance are invaluable to the candidate, to the profession and to the School of Education. 

Each field experience has a handbook that provides details about expectations and responsibilities.  Handbooks are either mailed to you directly or delivered by the IUS candidate assigned to your classroom. 

At our first meeting with you we will provide additional information, answer questions, and seek your input into shaping the experience to fit the candidate, your particular service delivery model, and your students.   We think it is important to incorporate your suggestions for how best to provide learning opportunities in your classroom and school.
