Sand/Water Activity Table

Beans, birdseed, rice, grass seed, popcorn, pea gravel, macaroni, insta-snow, sand, and water are all items that can be used in an activity table.  Other items, depending upon your theme can be placed in the table also (examples:  shovels, dump trucks, tractors, wagons, rakes, spoons, bowls, plates, cups, measuring cups, scoops, dinosaurs, and action figures). 

This activity requires constant supervision and discussion of rules.  Initially, some children will try to put items in their mouths, noses, etc.  Some children will want to throw objects at others.  However with supervision, this is a very tactile activity that inspires creativity.
