This site is a worthwhile site because it truly gives lots of information. It has a slideshow presentation for teachers and answers some basic questions that we may not have thought about. For instance, what are the signs of bullying? How is bullying manifested differently among boys and girls? (That’s a good one because I have three bullies in my room and one is a girl) This site also has other resources to help implement a “peaceful school” and a great list of related links: http://www.healthpolitics.com/archives.asp?previous=prog_67
This site has some great info. One of the facts on the site stated that bullying stops in less than 10 seconds, most of the time when peers intervene on behalf of the victim. They stated that intervening does not mean to confront or fight the bully. It means to befriend the victim, ignore the bully or to walk away from the bully with the victim. http://www.bullying.org/public/frameset.cfm
