For my web article evidence project I will use Dr. Mac's Behavior Advisor which is accessible through Google. I will focus on tattling which is found under the heading "Strategies For Addressing Common Behaviors and Conditions". The tattling section outlines students' motivation for tattling, legitimate complaints vs. tattling, aggressive students vs. passive students, and other motivations. Sarah T.

http://www.teachingheart.net/classroommanagementtips.html This website gives little tips on different sorts of things. It says to grade papers and get them back to the students quickly. It also gives an idea to teachers to have things ready before you leave for the day, just in case something happens and you can't come in or you are running late. I thought the index cards with each student's name on them in order to write different things are neat. The teacher set it up where she can flip them and write on them without the children knowing. Neat little website to refer to! - Melanie
The article that I choose talks about setting a timer for random intervals and checking behavior when the bell rings. Some type of reward can be given to the ones on-task and behaving. http://www.behavioradvisor.com/PositivePeerPressure.html -Natalie

http://www.pacificnet.net/~mandel/ClassroomManagement.html This site explains the benefits of using the "ticket system" for behavior. This is a positive reinforcement for behavior and can be used in all different grade levels. I like this system because it is POSITIVE, you don't get points or tickets taken away, but you have to earn the tickets to win the privileges.- Aimee

The website I found is http://www.nea.org/classmanagement/ifc071127.html. It has several useful suggestions for effectively lining students up, making the process educational, eliminating cutting, and rotating the order in which students line up. One method is giving each student an index card with a fact on it that reviews the lessons that are being studied, for example, multiplication facts or state capitals. The teacher would say, "Students with the state whose capital is Indianapolis line up." Another method is having students line up alphabetically by their first name. These activities can be varied easily. - Sarah
