papers about: Richard III (A), The tempest (B), Macbeth
(C), A Midsummer Night’s Dream
(D), and Othello (E). How many different sets of three books can
Kristen write papers about?
A bank that has been
charging a monthly service fee of $2 for checking accounts plus 15 cents for
each check announces that it will change its monthly fee to $3 and that each
check will cost 8 cents. The bank claims
that the new plan will save the customers money. How many checks must a customer write per
month before the new plan is cheaper than the old plan?
A rectangle has an area
measuring 230 square centimeters. Its
length and width are whole numbers of centimeters.
a) What are the possible combinations of length
and width?
b) Which possibility gives the smallest
perimeter? (Assume length is the longer
dimension)
Given
the six numbers 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13, pick five of them that when multiplied
together give 19,305.
