So you want to be a writer?

Well, you're in luck, my friend. This is my Online Writing Workshop, where I post a new lesson each week on the writing process. You'll find writing tips and shortcuts, subjects for journaling, advice on revision and editing, and more. Whether you want to write fiction, poetry, or even screenplays, my writing workshop will guide you toward producing the best writing possible. And hey, it's free!

Write.

If you want to be a writer, you have to write. It's a skill as much as it is a task, and you can't get better if you don't do it. Writers make time to write every day, preferably at the same time each day, because it nurtures a consistent, productive routine. Making writing a daily habit does two things for you: (a) it makes procrastination almost impossible, and (b) it provides you with the regular practice you'll need to improve.
