EDUCATION:

I received my B.A. in Biology at the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1986. I earned my Ph.D. in Biology at the University of Delaware in 1994.

POSTDOCTORAL:

My postdoctoral research was spent in the Department of Zoology at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, N.C. from Sept. 1993 to Dec. 1994. My advisor was Dr. Herb Underwood. From Jan. 1995 to July, 1997 I completed a second postdoctoral research position in the Department of Biology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA. My advisor was Dr. Eric Bittman.

CURRENT POSITION:

July 2003 - present Associate Professor of Biology at Indiana University Southeast, New Albany, IN.

August 1997- June 2003 Assistant Professor of Biology at Indiana University Southeast, New Albany, IN.

HONORS:

Appointed to Faculty of the University Graduate School with Associate Status - 1998 - present
Indiana University Southeast Summer Faculty Fellowship - 1998 and 1999
Appointed Pre-Professional Adviser for Biology Majors at Indiana University Southeast - 1998 - present
