Welcome to my homepage!

My name is Karina Aleksandrova. I'm a twenty-two-year-old Russian girl from Latvia. I moved to the United States about 4 years ago, and there actually is an interesting story behind this. At first I lived in Michigan, then Iowa, and now Indiana. I am studying Accounting at Indiana University Southeast. Fall 2005 was my first semester at IUS, though due to transfer credits from another institution, I was considered a sophomore. The most challenging class I was taking then was the Legal Environment of Business and now Cost Accounting. Both are interesting though. More about my college classes, including some homework assignments, can be found on this page. Please note that I could hardly find time to keep updating the page; maybe I'll update during spring break.

I have a pet kitty Persik (Russian for "peach"). This is him. He is always playful, unless he's sleeping. He really hates getting bath, but he doesn't clean himself as well as his mother used to.

I like reading, any genre but romance. In particular, I like science fiction, fantasy, historical novels, biographies of famous people, religious books and books on linguistics. Some of my favourite books include:

I'm going to tell about Project Gutenberg and Distributed Proofreaders, which also relate to reading, on another page.

I also enjoy crochetting. I don't crochet anything useful, though, mostly doilies. However, how can you resist something like this:

Important Note

This website is still under construction. I will be adding pages when I can. If you notice any broken links, please let me know.
