Thanks for visiting my IUS home page.
I’m happy to address questions about the various network services that IUS provides for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, particularly as they relate to applications and back office services running on the Microsoft Windows and Linux servers.
I would also like to suggest you visit my off-campus Web site for one of the best comic book series ever created, THE LIFE AND TIMES OF $CROOGE McDUCK, authored and drawn by Don Rosa. The site has not seen any alteration for a long time, yet it does serve to introduce anyone unfamiliar with the depth and humor of Disney Duck comics to a surprisingly immersive and wholesome experience. If all you know about comics is super-heroes you should definitely give this a try:
I’ve had the pleasure to even be involved in the creation and international production of one of Don’s Uncle $crooge stories, THE BEAGLE BOYS vs. THE MONEY BIN, assisting in the design and drawing the blueprints for Scrooge’s well-protected storage and office facility, primarily built to house his “3 cubic acres” of cash. I was finally able to put my degree in architectural design to “practical” use, and the blueprints were adapted for several languages so they could be inserted as part of the story in comics published in Finland, Norway, Sweden, Holland, Italy, Australia, U.S.A., and several other countries. I reworked the fonts and altered the drawings based on translations received from natives of each land.
You can see examples of the results of this project on the walls of my office, so feel free to pay me a visit in KV-014 anytime. But here’s a little sample of the original English drawing. You can click on the thumbnail for a larger version:
My workmates already know I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and they sometimes have questions about our beliefs. I’m always pleased to have spiritual discussions and welcome such at any time. I also recommend visiting the official site of our parent organization:
