Welcome to my English Class! My name is Chelsea Allen. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Language Arts Secondary Education in 2010. This will be my 5th year teaching English. I have been at Blue Bird High School for 2 years. I will be married next summer and will come back to school with a completely new life! But enough about me....let's talk class! Students: On this this website you will be able to find everything you need. They have not been posted yet, but eventually all of your homework will be posted under your class link. Any worksheets you are given will be available on this website! So no excuses! Please get familiar with this website. Notes, homework, worksheets, and rubrics will all be posted on here for your convenience. In doing this, I will not take late work unless it is an extreme situation. If you lose your homework or forget to write it down, its all here for you. I do this for you, not for me. Take advantage of this website. Please also remember that the syllabus is subject to change. Be flexible incase of snow-days, power outages, and other uncontrollable problems. But we will get through it all. Parents: I look forward to having your child in my class. I have a jam packed year planned for them. But I need your help. What I teach them in the classroom will not stick without your reinforcement at home. You have access as well to all of their homework as well. The syllabus for your child's  class is under the links on the left hand side of this page. The syllabus has all of our due dates and homework assignments included on there. Any handouts or power point presentations will be added the day that I hand them out. Please also feel free to browse! A good student starts at home!
